Respite Services |
In addition to long term care
services, Camelot is also pleased to offer
families the option of respite care. Respite
care is designed to offer short term relief to
caregivers who need a temporary break in order
to allow needed time for rest, vacation, or time
to deal with family emergencies.
A child or young adult with skilled medical
needs ca be admitted to Camelot Care Center from
home for short-term respite services not to
exceed thirty calendar days per quarter. A
break of at least thirty days is required
between stays of fifteen or more consecutive
days of respite care at the time of admission,
there must be an expressed intention of
returning home by the end of the approved time
period. Our social worker will be happy to
give you detailed information.
Requirements Prior to Respite Admission
Approved from Pre-admission screening agency
Doctors orders of admission, medications, and
treatments
An annual negative Monteux (if over age 18, a
chest x-ray completed no more than five years
prior to admission.)
Admission physical completed within the 30 days
prior to admission
